I'm guessing because the full brightness and load tests don't show much improvement it means Apple is lowering the default brightness to extend battery life Z30 style.

Looks like the iPhone 6 can last a full day, and the iPhone 6 plus can last almost 2 full days. Every reviewer is mentioning better battery life.
I wouldn't expect battery life to be much better than the 5S. Apple still prioritizes thickness over battery life.
I sometimes wish they would offer an iPhone model that was thicker and had a bigger battery.
As it stands now, if I am going out for the evening I need to charge sometime during dinner or the drive home.
