Yessiree!!!! When you see carries selling a device that retails for over $600 for $99, you can bet they're clearing inventory. I'm stoked.

Except it's just a price drop of CAD$60; the original price was CAD$159.

Most phones retail for $400+ anyway and sell normally between free and $200 depending on the model; consumers are just spoiled because the majority of us by on contract.

Anyway, I think the continued leaked parts (iPhone5 battery photos posted earlier today) and yet another Beta iOS are just as good of indicators than a sale promotion.

Agreed. But when AT&T starts selling 3Gs's for $49.99 with an upgrade, you know SOMETHING is up.

i don't think anyone can expect the i5 to be out this month or the next.early october seems to be the right timeframe.oct 7 has been rumored to be that day.if field testing with the i5 is complete and everything is fine, then apple would be hard pressed to release it at the end of august or september.you must remember apple has an event coming up in september.its not likely they would want to announce their device before or during this event.but a good sign is that inventory of old 3gs/4 are being cleared out.obviously the i5 storm is brewing.

The lag on my Torch is becoming unbearable. I look at it with such distain and patiently waiting for the iphone 5. If it goes beyond end of September, I might have to fire up the back-up phone (Nokia E63).

Don't know about Australia, but in U.S. it should be released by November, at the latest.
