I had an i Phone4 with 4.0.1 and then went to a reg phone then back to i Phone4 this one has the annoying 4.0.2 is there a way i can use the old back up from the old phone or once you upgrade your screwed. also if i have someone with a i Phone4 4 with the older version is there any way i can use that to downgrade any help would be appreciated

Apple stopped signing 4.0.1 back on 8/20. It's not possible to revert back unless you have the SHSH stored somewhere. 4.1 should be out in a week and it's expected that a jailbreak will be out for it shortly after it is released. Then again, it's possible that it might not.

2. Bluetooth
3. Performance on iPhone 3G
4. HDR photos
5. Game center

When 4.1 comes out, you will be able to upgrade to it.

good to know. the prox sensor thingy is annoying the heck outa me on my ip4 and I have an extra 3G my daughters play video games on that's become terribly sluggish since 4.

yeah cool. figured that one out after I hung up on a dozen people by accident.
in general I'm really liking the phone. I use the 9700 too but like I said-- the ip4 is growing on me.

What everyone has mentioned about 4.1 is correct. To answer your question, SHSH blobs are IMEI/Firmware specific. This means that you must backup your specific device with the firmware you want to downgrade to in the future. No other device's blobs will work.
