Blackberry allows you to store a contact's extension #, for work let's say. So e.g. (000) 000-0000 looks like this in my contacts, 0000000000X1234. The "X" is a pause and 1234 is the extension. So I simply call that contact's work # and on my call screen I get a small dialogue box that allows me to call extension "1234" with a single press. Pretty nifty stuff.

Anyways, this is the iPhone forum right, so.... What's the iPhone way of storing extensions within the contacts!?

Thanks in advance for the responses.

Use a comma rather than the "x".

Actually use a ; and not a comma. The comma only adds a small pause (which won't be long enough), the semi-colon adds a wait and gives you a prompt button at the bottom of the screen so you can press it when you want the phone to dial that additional digit code (just like the BB did).
