If I were to sale my Iphone to a friend that has ATT would I just restore it and take my SIM card out and the phone would be ready for him to use???? I have another Iphone I was going to use and wasnt sure. I am a new ATT customer bc of the Iphone and needed some clarification on this. Thanks!

Yup. If they have AT&T they will just need to pop in their SIM and if it's not activated yet, hook it up to the computer and open iTunes and then good to go. Should have no issues.
