ok, right now i am thinking bout buying a 3gs 16 or 32 GB or possible 16 GB 3g or maybe the BB storm 9530 for VZW mying kind of met it's fate when it accidentally got ran over by a ford F350 crew cab duel rear axle diesel , i went to my local AT&T store and they wanted me to pay 299.99 for the 32GB phone (which i was more then happy to pay) but then they try to nail me with a 300 deposit where VZW only nailed me with a 125.00 deposit and VZW is what 20 times the size of AT&T..i would like to know if i post a wanted post for one would i get into any trouble with the server admins?

that sucks about the deposit but it depends on company policy i luckily was not required to leave any deposit. were you at a corporate store?

but there are corporate stores which are owned by AT&T and just regular stores the offer AT&T service. a corporate store might require a less of deposit. look on cingular website for store locator this should tell you which are corporate stores.

Generally when you have to deposit it is because you either don't have enough credit, or bad credit. I got the iPhone 3GS as a brand new customer, and with 0 deposit.

that's the messed up...i can get approved for a 12,000 car but now a 300 phone is any one interested in selling a 3g 16GB or 3gs 32GB i know it's a long shot but sometimes you gotta say WTF.

I used my early upgrade for my 3GS and didn't have to leave any deposit.

deposit's are only required when first activating your line. not at upgrades or contract renewals

Well, I did sign up with AT&T (new line, switched from Sprint) last year and got the 3G and had to leave no deposit either.

yea some people don't it varies on your credit and i think where you purchase from but i am not sure. i didn't need a deposit either i was glad.
