Huh. Do you iPhone guys really think it will be better than Safari? This will definitely be interesting to follow.

My bets are on Safari keeping the throne.

i'm probably going to use Opera Mini for when I'm on 3G or EDGE. It loads really fast, but I still prefer Safari if I'm on Wifi or when I have full 3G.

I'll give it a shot. Can't hurt. Doubt it's better than Safari though.

I'll reserve final judgement until I've played with it for a few days, but on the face of it:
    1. Faster page loading...faster is ALWAYS a plus.
    2. Data compression...for people like myself with a cheap plan (500Mb), this will be a blessing.

I'm seriously not 100% sold on it...

I had to press certain options on my iPhone multiple times to get Opera Mini to acknowledge it. Weird...

Of course not. I won't be using Opera but to be fair it's better to conserve
data usage and get some pages to load a bit faster when you don't need
    the full rendered page.

I installed OM on the iPhone and noticed immediately that you cannot pinch scale zoom, you either full zoomed or not. If you are not zoomed it's extremely difficult to read and if you are zoomed in, you have to scroll endlessly.

The idea of OM is great, but I deleted it 5 minutes later.

    Safari on the iPhone rules.

Same here. Say you're looking at your subscribed threads list.
You want to see the last post in the thread, so you try to tap that tiny square icon to the right of the last posters name.
    It will not register.

Fine you think. I'll just select page 2. Nine times out of ten, it won't register when you tap on that number.
All you can do is select 'Last Page', then scroll down when you get there.

I've also gotten half a dozen error msgs today when tapping valid forum links.

I said it elsewhere earlier. This seems like a public beta.
Which sucks, because I really wanted this to be great.

    Safari is still king.

It's available in Canada too now - and I have to agree, the technique of zooming disappoints me lol. I mean if it is a 'beta' then can't wait to try out the full one haha.
