This is an old 2g 16gb phone and i took a dump!!

well the phone does not start. when i try to power it on it gives me the screen before going to the home screen( apple logo) then it shuts back off.

i was going to try and restore it thru itunes but itunes is not able to recognise by iphone. I have the latest itunes downloaded too.

I have checked tool under administrative tool and services.
made sure ipod services and apple mobile devises were on
