Is there somewhere out there that APPLE makes 6' charging cords? My brother bought one for his 3Gs, but it fried the logic board about two months later. This one was bought off eBay, not from Apple.

Yeh I dont get why they make the cable like 3 feet long unlike other companuies which are more like 6 usually. May be ok for USB to a laptop, but way too short to be a wall charger. I guess saving a penny a cable is more important unfortunately.

Wow, $15? Why not just use a simple extension cord between the wall and the charger block? Typically pretty cheap, less than $5 at your local hardware store. $3.50 at ACE Hardware.

When I bought mine from there, it was only $7.00 I know you can get them cheaper elsewhere. They were at one point on monoprice.com for $2.50 but I didn't see them there lat time I looked. And besides why would you carry around an extension cord, it's easier to buy an extended USB sync cable especially when you travel.
