Has anyone found a link or a way to jailbreak 3.1.3 yet? I have looked all over TIPB and havent found anything yet. There is a way you can if you have been jailbroken and upgraded to 3.1.3, but mine had it installed when i purchased it a few weeks ago. Just wondering if anyone had seen or heard of anything. Yes you can jailbreak 3.1.3. Still can't unlock yet. Go to iclarified.com and in the tutorial section go to iPhone jailbreaking. Should be good from there.

Nope and probably will never be until a new OS (probably waiting for 4.0 or 3.2 if that's what the 4th gen gets)

That iclarified.com site provides a how to on 3.1.3 but NOT 3.1.3 with a 5.12.01 baseband - so to confirm - that jailbreak DOES NOT exist..

Then I'm glad that my 3GS wouldn't go into DFU Recovery mode correctly and they gave me a phone with 5.11.07 baseband as a replacement I was losing it... no ***king way lol

Ive been doing a lot of looking around and its looking like the rumor is sometime around june they will release an unlock for 3.1.3. I read that someone has it unlocked, but they dont want to release the info until after the 4g comes out so apple doesnt go and fix the hack so it wont work on the 4g.... just rumors though...

I have a 3GS 32gb not opened yet, according to the serial # it is week 42, can it be unlocked?

Im not sure... Im super new to this... I think if its running anything newer then the 3.1.2-5.11.07 then no, it cant be unlocked yet...

open it, turn the device on, go to settings, and about phone and look on that menu and you can find the info you need to know if it can be unlocked.

If it has 3.1.3 but still has 5.11.07 yes... but if it has 5.12.01 baseband (modem firmware) then no it can't...

From a couple people I know that also unlock and jailbreak phones.. It is rumored that this will not be possible until the newest OS comes out.. Meaning 4.0. they're going to do it all at once so apparently the iPad can be unlocked & jailbroken aswell. But again, these are only rumors. So don't upgrade!! Hehe

I jailbroke mine after upgrading to 3.1.3, be it known that 3.1.3 is ONLY TO FIX THE JAILBREAK there is no actual reason for upgrading, I did it knowing this, what can I say im a daredevil.

The jailbreak brought my iPhone BACK to 3.1.2 and then jailbroke it.

Unlocking is trickier, supposedly blackrain has a thing out there for it, ive unlocked my phone if the unlock works is a different issue, I have yet to test it out. Ill let you know as soon as i do tomorrow. (Running latest baseband), in all honesty im hopeful because my phone accepts non att sim cards, but because its a foreign SIM chip, i cant test it out, and I dont know many people who arnt verizon or ATT. Ill check back here in a few days if it works.

First off I'm a DIE-HARD BB abuser but 'she-who-must-be-obeyed' wants an iPhone. I've just purchased a 3GS 32 GB running 3.1.3 - the phone was sold as unlocked. Being a noob is there anything I need to know - or to avoid, etc... before I give it to her for Mothers Day?

Have you put your sim in to check?

Also, go to Settings > General > About

What does it say for Modem Firmware? If it isn't 5-11-07, you may want to verify that it is indeed unlocked as I am unaware of an software unlock that has been released for the public. This doesn't mean it isn't, but check first.
