Yes, that's right. A former owner of the iPod Touch 2G 32GB is now a proud and beloved owner of the new iPhone 3GS 32GB. This device is an absolute godsend and AT&T customer support were great in helping me out. Setup was a breeze!

I've got slew of Apps that I bought when I had my Touch, and I have full intentions of syncing them to my new iPhone.

Now the big question is... To jailbreak.. or not to jailbreak? Would I still keep my original apps?

And any other need-to-know tidbits to throw out there? And can I play an app while talking to someone over voice?

If you upgraded to 3.1 already, you can probably forget about jailbreaking. I have 3.0 and I'm jailbroken and love it.

    * No, you will not lose your original apps.

    * You can, may depend on the iPhone, but I haven't run into that issue. With backgrounder (through jailbreak -- for background processing), you can leave the game and go back into it without losing your position.

that you are. grab redsn0w 8 and the 3.0 file from somewhere like here
    iPod and iPhone Firmware Download
when redsn0w asks for the fw you have on your phone direct it to the 3.0 you grabbed, not 3.01.
