If you didn't have 3G in your area would you still get an iPhone?
I'm asking mainly because I keep hearing rumors about a tower in the area in the next year.

yes I would. I had the 2g 1st gen and loved it. wifi is great on the device as well. plus I actually loved the look of the 1st gen over the plastic backing they used on the 3G.
so yea I had the first gen when I still had 3G in my area (NYC). didn't bother me one bit.
