I have been a mac-head for many years and I can almost say for sure that no iphone will ever have a qwerty on it.01-08-10 05:26 PMLike 0

- I don't get it?
I can make a really cool phone that everyone would want too. Some nice photo editing, list some cool specs off, give it a new name, so everyone would think it the next best thing.
The date that was posted was before the 3GS even launched too.01-10-10 01:35 PMLike 0 - I wouldn't mind if they came out with a slider. We all know if Apple makes something it will look good. They have aesthetics down. It won't be clunky or awkward. I it might serve them some good by have 2 new devices together. One full touchscreen and another with some sort of keyboard. For a lot of people a full touchscreen was a deal breaker. Take the best mobile OS and add a physical keyboard, a lot of people will want it. Either way, i'm getting whatever is coming next. Got my upgrades ready to go01-10-10 01:43 PMLike 0

- As long as Jobs is still there I'm confident we will never see a crapboard on the the iPhone thank goodness. If there ever was one iPhone sales would drop 80% (my estimates lol) in it's first year.01-11-10 02:55 PMLike 0

The iPhone is what it is because of a good product + hype. 80% might be an appropriate number in terms of how much the iPhone actually lived up to said hype.
I would definitely argue that if there were a KB option for an iPhone that sales would increase even over what they are now. I give Verizon credit that they released the Droid and Eris at the same time to give consumers choice.
Bottom line is, that's what consumers want: Choice. Even more so then lower prices. Time and time again it has been shown that consumers will pay top dollar, if a product is to their liking.
The iPhone would be no different. Release the iPhone 3Gx/4G or whatever the **** it's called. Release it in two forms, w/ physical KB and without. If they were also able to release on multiple carriers, they would make a KILLING. Profits would go UP 80%, not down.

I also IM quite a bit I would say an average of about 30-70 IM's per day. I love to keyboard on the iPhone and I do not miss the qwerty at all. I think it really just comes down to the fact that Job's is not a fan of physical keyboards. Heck I could see them going to an all glass keyboard on the macbook pro before they put a physical keyboard on the iPhone.01-11-10 04:42 PMLike 0
