...if jailbroken, imo.
According to the article, the bug is present in 7.1.1 as well. Has it been jailbroken?
If it were, then it would be vulnerable, from my understanding.
I'm not sure I'm understanding what you're saying. Are you saying that only jailbroken iPhones are vulnerable? Because the security expert who discovered the flaw noticed that it hasn't been addressed in iOS 7.1.1 either...despite Apple knowing about it. And 7.1.1 has not been jailbroken yet, as I just found out.
It says the attacker has to actually have your phone, brute force or jailbreak bypass the passcode or password.

Another non issue that'll be patched I guess.

With the number of times the pass code was breached I would not be surprised if they breach it again.

love ittt bump
It was a bug that was introduced in 7.0.4 or something like that, IIRC. You do need physical access to the phone to actually exploit it.
So another theoretical exploit no one's ever actually exploited?
Got it. Right. Good show.
Raino's the best at finding these.

Drinking the Kool-aid again, are we? It's not just "theoretical," ZDNet was able to replicate it as well.
I lol'd
Yall gotta toss that ignance out the window and do your research.
Hopefully they fix this bug fast!
It's possible Apple lose 1 sale because of the RainMan, so job jobbed. :)
