Some iPhone 6 Plus Owners Accidentally Bending Their iPhones in Pockets - Mac Rumors

doesnt surprise me. Many phones that size arent meant to go in the pockets. way to much stress on them
When I went and put hands on the 6 and 6+ I thought they looked pretty bendy!! But, almost any phone nowadays will bend given the right stress. I've seen a couple of bent Q10 photos on here too. My daughters iPhone 5 seems to have a little warp in it, and I don't think she regularly pockets it.
Not true.
I've sat on my Z10 many times. I weight...well let's just say that I didn't play offensive line in college football for no reason.
No bending.

I have dropped my z10 without a case a few times and no issue. Not so lucky for iPhone users.

Here's another article (with a video): http://gizmodo.com/and-heres-a-guy-b...ium=socialflow
Looks like Apple is desperately pushing too hard for aesthetics, maybe sacrificing engineering design and practicality.

Instead of packing a bigger battery they went for thinness. Lol

It's going to be interesting how this plays out for Apple. They probably did this on purpose so they can get even more money from accessories. Apple is good for finding ways to make money.

Maybe, but won't they have to absorb the cost of people taking their bent phones back to the store expecting a free replacement or downgrade to 6 (and partial refund of the difference)?
If they don't,.. people will start to bad talk apple for being incapable of making a large screen phone, even after it took them 3 years,.. lol

Yeah but it won't hurt them. They're already in profit mode for the iPhone 6. Many will go out and case their device before more damage is done.

Ya, this doesn't scream quality to me. Lots of big phones out there for awhile now and I've never heard of seen this before.

LOL, the suggested remedy is to not keep it in your pocket when you sit. Too funny apple.
Please don't tell me Apple said that again. Wow.

Oh boy!
Would be awesome if JC took the stage today, get the passport out of his pocket and tries to bend it! (with no result).
Cause the passport is a workhorse, not a lightweight toy!

Oh, Apple. This really bites.
Oh well! Passport is being announced in an hour.

BlackBerry please makes an ad: ask a celebrity to show off BlackBerry Passport, and another guy jumps into the scene, screaming: my phone is better than your phone! While he fulls out his iPhone 6 plus from his back pocket, which is bent 45 degree of course. Or, shaped to his ****.

Blackberry is not in a position to make fun of anyone. Opening that door would be the biggest mistake they could make.
Apple's response would probably be an ad showing how phones don't bend when they sit in the box on the shelf at a store.
Both versions bend, wait for the marketing machine to tell everyone it's their fault...saw one commenting that even metal rods bend...not sure about that comparison...

If they are prone to it, then sooner or later they all will. The only way of preventing it is going to be to have it in a case.

Apples response:
"Your sitting on it wrong" or "you're putting it in your pocket wrong"

Any phone is bendable, if you have that much strength to bend, even a q10. But if an average Joe can bend an iPhone with his own bare hands, and not the note 3, then some things wrong here.

I see there are already articles saying it's no big deal. What a surprise!
