Reps are kept as much in the dark about official release dates as regular customers.

I did see something today that the iPhone 5 is already starting to be assembled w/o iOS 5 on it, so possibly one more beta before GM?

My parents will be upgrading their 3GS to the iPhone 5 when it's released. I'm excited to check it out. They absolutely love their iPhone!

Before they got the iPhone they had dumb phones. They couldn't quite figure them out or type on them. So they barely used it. They never text or email ot sent pics.

They really took to the iPhone and now text, send pictures, upload YouTube videos! I'm glad. Thy even tether now!

I hope the next iPhone is as user friendly for them as the 3GS is.

Doubt it. They probably just need to start ramping up production of the phones to meet initial demand. They probably won't box/seal them yet until iOS goes GM.

Did i miss something here? What is the difference WHEN the new iPhone comes out? I don't think a day or week will make any difference in the history of the world! I'd rather have the new IOS5 on my iPhone4 first, anyway. Call me crazy.

yea i know about the reps.they just relay false information about release dates to consumers just to get them worked up.im too smart to believe in them.but many folks do.
