if its on the internet, it must be true!!
I already used ios5 software because of a developer account.. its not bbm, but the ap is similar.. its called imessage , it works like bbm. All ios devices can message each other , send pictures etcetc just like bbm on their ios devices.
iMessage yes BBM NO.......
Apple is releasing iMessage so they can also compete with bbm on their platform? Makes sense :o
I rather ChatOn (Samsung's client) get released.
Al Gore says true, so it must be. Afterall, this is from the man who invented the Internet.
Kiss BB goodbye in the teen (and tween) market. The only reason they own BB now is BBM. Apple's imessage will create incredible demand as current customers dump their BB for the 'cooler' iphone. Not at all good for RIM I feel.
now if they could get imessage to be a computer chat program as well.... for Mac AND PC, (like Yahoo messenger or ms messenger) then I really believe it would become the de-facto method of chat worldwide period.

Actually, it's a combination of a few factors. First, you're right: BBM. When you and all your friends have a BlackBerry, it's much more efficient (and cheaper) than Text Messages.
But two (and more importantly as the teens/tweens aren't typically paying for their phone): cost of handset. Teen/Tween market typically aren't getting a high-end Bold. It's the bottom of the market Curve. And why not? Typically extremely cheap or free on contract, does what they want, and doesn't really break the parent's bank (up front anyways).
Start releasing free iPhone4 models with iOS 5 once the new phone is released, yeah it stands a chance. But again, you have to remember it's more than just the application that drives that sector of the market.
AL Gore didn't create the internet. One single person didn't create it but many contributed to it.
"A term coined by Vice President Albert Gore when giving a speech January 11, 1994 to describe a future of computers accessing and communicating over a world-wide network. Later during a CNN interview, Gore stated "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet." This statement helped spark the belief that Al Gore invented the Internet." Information superhighway
Who invented the Internet?
