Good stuff. I wonder how fast the processor is.
Super! Can't wait.
The 24th just can't come fast enough. I'm
very anxious.
Good man, I will try to test Iphone 4 when it comes to Argentina.. tHX!
Yaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy. Now I can finally sleep. :-)

512MB of RAM is nice for active program loadtimes, but the real goldmine is the fact that the phone can utilize the entire 16/32GB of storage space or apps and everything else without batting an eye. Something RIM can't seem to grasp and make happen...
my money is on 800Mhz
I don't think it's 1Ghz or it was underclocked.
Didn't Apple state that the iPad was running
at 1Ghz? If so, then I know Steve and co.
would happily let the world know if they had
the i4 running at the same speed.
If it is the same exact processor and model,
my money would be on "underclocked"
Id bet 1ghz, why change things when they can plug and play the same chips as the ipad.
I cant see them going down in speed for the iphone with the bigger battery. Id bet thats the main reason they made the battery so big (besides the screen).
But saying that mhz is just a number, if its fast in use its fast. The 3GS was never a slouch in terms of speed at 600mhz
hahah this never gets old :D Also This is great news they bumped it up to 512. If you think about it though they were pretty much forced to with Android doing this along with RISM (who in Gods world knows why RISM did it). I can't wait for this phone though I'm looking at my 3Gs right now thinking oh yea I'm selling you right away.
i see your thinking on this and completely disagree lol .... i think it will be at 1 GHz, just because apple didnt say it , dosent mean its not there biggest example 512 MB of RAM lol... they didnt advertise that .... but its there ..
I agree somewhat with sooks. I just don't think apple has ever been big with specs so they don't feel the need to put them out all the time like others have too. They are an experience centric company. They want people to like the feel and asthetics of their products, the speed and all that is a big plus for them but isn't their man focus to yell to the rooftops.
1ghz, same as iPad, Apple is not about hardware like many other companies, they are about advertising the human connection.
Agreed , plus the nice thing is no matter what the processor is clocked at , with 512 MB of RAM and the software optimization of iOS, the phone is going to be fast ! This will be a solid phone , cant wait for thursday !!!
ps got the new xbox 360 last night , ITS SICK
For me the jury is still out on the CPU. 1Ghz sounds all cheery and happy but why so fast? Ghz don't make a processor fast despite what most people think.
I'm hoping it's fast and built correctly and not just sacrificing battery life to cover something like a very basic CPU with absolutely no specialization.
See knowing Apple and their history with the iPhone underclocking the processor to conserve battery life has always been their main priority.
Either way, 600mhz was pretty quick. I doubt theyd clock it down to 600, itd be at least 800. Add that with the 512mb RAM and itll be just fine no matter that the mhz rating is.
1Ghz is not conservative for battery life. I want to see a benchmark with a web browser going and music streaming the background.
I suspect their saving grace is going to be no true multitasking. If they had 6 apps going I bet the battery would be more like popcorn than anything. Gone in a flash.
He was saying that they normally "underclock" to
preserve battery life... meaning it would not run
at 1Ghz, but lower and still provide excellent
performance.
No need to worry regradless of clock speed , it will be fast , that chipset in the ipad was SWEET fast as balls , and now doubling the RAM , FAST FAST FAST im stoked as balls
