I have everything on, including location services, push email, etc. I can make two days on light usage. My wife makes it close to 3 days. On heavy usage, easily through a day. I'm very impressed. It's nice not having to dumb my phone down for the battery to last. My Droid Icredible was horrible. I had together an extended battery just to make it through a single day with light usage. Battery drain onrush was float to 5-7% an hour with light usage. I see maybe a 2-3% on my iPhone with similar usage.

I'm getting a full day with 10-20 percent left ar the end. I consider myself a heavy user.
The only thing I shut off is Bluetooth when not in use and I screen is at a out 40% brightness.
No complaints

I was getting about 8 hours, however, mine is new and I was dl'ing constantly. I've since turned off my push email (didn't buy the phone for work, so who cares if it's pushed) I went about 24 hours with heavy WIFI use and dl's. Same thing happened with my 9700 until after a couple weeks then it got increasingly better. I have to say that I don't have any regrets switching.
This is good to see . I just got my Ip4 today and will be testing it for this week... it will replace my 9700... i would like to see if i could live without a berry LOL... good thing i have to lines so i could keep both phones lol.. but from today i am making Ip4 primary for a week so i would love to see a good battery life on it
I will be honest, the battery on the iP4 last much better than I was expecting. I can go a whole day without charging my phone. When I do heaving web browsing(like I am as I type this) and read alit of email and messages, I still get excellent battery life.
I came from a Blackberry and like the iP4 battery life more. I was going to buy one of those extra battery packs but I honestly don't need to.
My only concern is what do we do in a year plus time when the battery needs to be replaced. I am not near a Apple store so taking it in for a battery upgrade in 15 mins is not something I'm looking forward too.

My poor little 9700 has been lying next to my home computer without a charge since last Wednesday night. It still has 70% battery left. *sigh* That's the hardest part about saying goodbye.

Yea the 9700 had amazing battery. I really liked that phone and will not give it up .... I think the ip4 and 9700 go amazing together. So far the battery on the ip4 has been great.. Big difference from the 3G/3Gs... also considering that it has the nicest screen i have ever seen...pretty impressed so far

Yea it does suck. But it's always been like this. Chances are you will never have to use this service. unless you keep the same phone for like 4/5 years.

I agree, but that's "IF" your problem isn't covered and "IF" you're not near an Apple store. However, it's not too bad considering the price of a new phone if you're stuck in contract and can't upgrade.
You could always buy AppleCare Protection Plan ($69 at AT&T / around $45 on Ebay & Amazon) and have an extra year of coverage. My understanding is that you can purchase it anytime before your first year is up.
Untile now I have 6.5 of use and 15 of stand by..... 31% battery to go. Big improvement over my 3G and 3GS. Very happy with the battery I'm getting at moment
