Currently I have the BB 9630 with VZW. Have been wanting an iPhone since it first came out in 2007 and have been wanting it since. Know everything about the phone inside and out and I am able to buy today. However, should I wait and enjoy my BB for 3 more months until the 4G comes out or should I buy the 3GS now? I can always buy it now and pay the cancellation fee and sell the 3GS and make even if I do decide to buy the 4G when comes out right...

I would say wait for the 4G. It's about 4months away. Could some nice changes on it

yeah but cant i also just buy the 3GS now and when the iPhone 4G comes out cancel my line and pay the ETF and sell my 3GS to make even for the 4G...just saying..

If the second generation iPhone was called the iPhone 3G why are we calling the 4th iPhone the 4G? Just wondering.

i would wait and see until the new iphone comes out, that way if it comes out on verizon like its rumored to, you wouldnt have to switch carriers
and it would be high tech

There are a couple potential reasons to wait for the 4th gen iPhone: 1) screen res, 2) battery life, 3) multitasking, 4) better (and possibly front facing) camera. If you care enough about any of those to wait, then do so. If not, I think it's safe to pick up the 3GS now and sell it and buy the 4G at retail when the time comes. Would likely be a couple hundred dollar difference.

I believe the 3GS would be the technical 3rd generation iPhone, making the new one the 4th Gen.

Thats sounds about right. Just confirm that the early term with the iPhone is the same as everything else at $175

Why would you have to cancel? It seems like the better thing to do would be to wait, but if you can't then jump on the 3GS now and sell it when the new one comes out.

That's true, but I think what he was trying to say is that there may well be a very good reason if not more then one to wait it out.

I think it's pretty well understood the iPhone isnt going to Verizon anytime soon.
