I heard that its called iPad HD... just another release like the iPhone 4S...
That was the rumor. Per the announcement and Apples site, it's simply being referred to as the New iPad. I think they've decided to stop numbering it and just reference which generation it is.
Delivery dates are slipping already, you can no longer order the most popular model (Black 64gb AT&T 4g) for March 16 delivery.
Would love to know how many were preordered in the past 24 hours, compared to "all time" sales of non-iPad tablets.
I'm actually surprised that 'a lot' of people are buying this version.
To be honest, I simply can't see taking 'lots' of photos with my iPad. I think I'll stick with my iPad 2, for now.

Consider their point of view.
Most people are NOT in your situation:
"Hmm, should I sell mine on Gazelle for $325 and buy that for $499, to get a better display etc.?"
Most people are in in this situation:
"Hmm, I was going to buy one yesterday for $499. Now it has a better display etc. and is still $499. SOLD!!!"
That's the decision the majority of buyers need to make, even if it's not the one you need to make.

LOL - I was merely pointing out that I'm shocked that it is 'sold out'. I don't care either way whether people buy it or not...
I'm thinking about getting an iPad 2 for myself.
Tried of borrowing my wife's and waiting for her to stop playing Temple Run.
Boy am I sorry I told her about that game.
Anyway, I've been swept up in the Apple fever. Gave my wife the iPad for Christmas and then got an iPhone 4S for myself last month.
Love them all.
