So I loaded up iOS 5 and took it for a test drive. So far a good experience. Notifications are nice, reminders are a big plus. iCloud great. So far a good OS will keep updating as I use it more.

are the notifications broken out? as in you can see the difference between twitter, fb, mail, or sms?

i mean specifically if there are multiple apps trying to get your attention.

for example, if i have 2 fb notes, and 3 twitter notes, do they show as a collective 5 notifications or does it say "2 fb, 3 twitter"?

It show FB as Header then the messages underneath. Pretty sweet. Each App has it's own header then under it the messages.

Jailbroke it. Now I can have some real fun.

    Hope the pic helps.

It is in Beta now you can download BUT you need a dev account to attach your UDID to activate it. I paid 3 bucks to get mine added to a dev account. If you DO NOT GET YOUR UDID ACTIVATED YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE. Now that I said that if anyone wants to know how and where to get the hook up PM me.

Image of how to setup notifications.

The widgets in the notification pull down - can you choose what to put in there, is it always stocks and weather only, can you do only weather, and are there any other widget options?

How is the window - I am used to Android being very smooth as far as pull down on the notification window.

Last question, lock screen notifications - what are they like and do they break it down depending on what you received?

Here us the pull down with IU settings a jb tweak. Also the pull down is much smoother than androids. the notifications show up based on what apps you want to alert you I prefer email and SMS you still have to enter your pin which is good

Yep on the 100 but pm me and I can point you to a three dollar donation to a dev to hook you up.

    Screenshots to follow.

If you decide to try the Beta. YOU MUST HAVE A REGISTERED UDID IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL END UP WITH AN iPOD. PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE IOS5 BETA AND INSTALL WITHOUT A REGISTERED UDID. If you don't know how to find your UDID pm me or google it.

With the beta, do you get any type of flash with notifications? Maybe the screen flashing? From my understanding, the new iPhone will have an led, but wasn't a 100% on the iPhone 4. Thought possibly the screen or a camera flash could be utilized.

Yea I am loving it. The crazy this is, that this is a beta and it runs smoother than any other OS on the market (besides iOS official, Vanilla Android on certain devices and WP7).

That's awesome! I just switched over to an iPhone (1.5 weeks ago) from a BlackBerry (four years) and that's one of the things I miss. Now to figure out how to do an update. I read your earlier posts and it doesn't seem too hard.
