I gotta say it runs pretty smooth. The folders work great too. I really cleaned up
my homescreen. They open up right away and don't "load" like on the jailbreak
"categories" app.
One of my favorite features. Folders in cydia
sucked *** IMHO. The other is the mail app,
which got a much needed upgrade. Unified
mailbox, threaded msgs and multiple exchange
accounts rock!

Yes Email is a huge improvement, the only thing that it is missing now is a mark all as read feature.
True that, but I can live without it
being that they did a good job with
the update. I guess we'll see this
in iOS5?
lol perhaps. Now I have a question. I know technically when you open
and app it's not technically running. Any idea how long it takes the OS to kill
the app after you haven't used it for a certain amount of time? Or does it
do it at all?

Hmm good question, I'm not really sure. I think if an app is not used for some time it will disappear from the fast app switcher.
Cali Lewis from geekbrief.tv has an article due out tomorrow about iOS4 and bad battery life.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
Well I can say just from using it today that the battery life is better. This has also been the opinion of many people who have been using the GM build of it.

Is it normal to take it off the charger at 7am and be at 55% battery at 4pm with wifi off half the day? (2h38m usage, 8h34m standby)
I'm wondering if this is normal or if I might have a weak battery to deal with?
I'm new to iphone. Bought a used 3GS 16G and loaded iOS4 GM over the weekend. I'm just not sure what's normal battery life.

Yeah that sounds about right. Just depends on how much you are doing on the phone. One thing to note is that you should always use wi-fi when you can, it is way better on the battery then 3G.
My settings are like this
3G on all the time
BT on all the time
wi-fi on all the time
Brightness 50%
I can make it through a day of heavy use no problem. If I am playing a lot of games it will hurt the battery though.
I haven't really been doing a whole lot with it since I'm at work; most of the time there is either email or calendar. No wifi, stuck with 3G @ work; it's a five-bar signal at least.
I guess we'll see. I'm taking it in to have a dust under the screen looked at tomorrow.
