I get something that pops up saying I have to install itunes and then it makes me register the iphone in itunes?...i guess mine doesn't work
Install iTunes on your PC. That's the desktop manager for iPhones.
If you have a new phone and need it to be registered all you need
is to put an AT&T sim card in the phone for a moment until iTunes
registers the phone.
Nothing happens.
I open itunes and I made itunes sync with the phone and the phone still tells me to hook to itunes.
I thought I would be able to plug in the sim and run with it after th APN change
So you're saying that when you hook the phone to iTunes with the sim card in
the phone it won't let you register the phone at all? You're still able to sync the
phone though?
Do I have to register the phone? I'm already with a provider.
it is as if the iphone doesn't recognize the sim?
Yeah that's what it's sounding like. Do you have an old att sim card lying
around? I had some trouble once with registering and I used an old ATT
sim card that I had and it registered it quickly.
It's a 2G iphone then. Delete the APN profile from the settings. I believe it's
settings>general and you should see it somewhere there and can be uninstalled.
Yeah you can do it but I don't know why it's giving your problems to register the
phone. Let me get someone in here that knows more about this than I do.
Please respond -
Every time I try to do this it works, but it takes me to the activation screen on the iPhone with my blackberry bold 9000's SIM card. Do I have to pay for the activation fee?
Does anyone know a way around this? I'm on a 2G iPhone with the newest firmware.
When you have it connected to itunes while on the activation screen and put your
sim card in there it still doesn't activate? For whatever reason this seems to be a
problem for 2G iphones. You'll see on the page before someone is having the same
problem but I really am at a loss for a solution to this.
