After it starts wiggling tap the "x" on the app.

Below is the method of deleting apps on iPad:
    • On the springboard and find the app you want to delete.
    • Tap and hold down the icon of the application you want to delete. After a few seconds your screen will start to “wiggle” and an X will appear
    • Tap the X next to the icon of the app you want to remove when it prompted then select Delete.
    • If the application is listed in your iTunes Applications as well you’ll want to remove it from there

If a user doesn't know how to delete an app on the device, do you think they know what the Springboard is?
