What do you need to sync?

Setup google/gmail as Exchange and it handles it directly

Contacts and calendar. But I was told that there was a sync issue with iOS4...was I mis-informed? Hopefully I was!

Thanks! That was the only thing keeping me from upgrading from 3.1.3.

No problem. I did see an article with some
having exchange issues, but I haven't had
    a single glitch.

There have been issues with google sync, which you setup to sync other calendars within your account.

iOS 4: Exchange Mail, Contacts, or Calendars may not sync after update

Apple has a config profile there to download to possibly help the timeout issue

Sorry for all the ?'s. I'm a long time crackhead, soon to
be rocking the iPhone. I'm a noob all over again, I guess.

I'm going to try to answer your questions and I'm hoping that there's soimeone here who'll correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, I'm talking about the wireless contact and calendar sync. Unlike on BlackBerrys, iPhone and iPod Touches are synced through gmail's exchange server. On BlackBerrys, Google syncs through an application.

Tomorrow when I'm on my computer I'll post the instructions for setting up your Google to sync through exchange.

I hope I've answered your question, but if I haven't let me know.

ItnStln511.....thanks so much. I'll check this out as soon as the Wimbledon final's over.
    GO BERDYCH!!
I've already messed around w/it a little this morning. I'm pretty amazed what I've discovered that google will do w/Outlook wirelessly. Pretty freakin cool!!!
I've been a "crackhead" for years. Kinda pathetic its taken "iPhone research" to figure this out.
    Happy Independence Day, Bro!!!
(Don't know if you're a tennis fan but Nadal's serving for the 1st set)
