Im in a jam guys, I dont know if I want to leave Berry and go to iPhone. The only thing thats keeping me with Berry is the BlackBerry Messenger. For those of you that switched, how much do you miss it?
I actually don't really miss it, but of course since we don't know how valuable BBM really is to you, we won't be able to give you a definitive answer on that one. My personal advice is to go ahead and give it a try, but I think you should think it over a little bit before you make the jump. Hope I helped.
I never use BBM. What I miss the most is freaking MMS...a $19.99 phone has MMS and ATT still can't get MMS working on the iPhone. At this point it's just sad.
I also dont understand how people say the iPhone bill costs more than the Blackberry. Right now with ATT I have unlimited texts and data. How much more could it be for the same on the iPhone?
Not at all. BBM wasn't that big of a deal for me with texts, AIM and other things I never really understood the craze about BBM. Most people have unlimited texts anyways, and thats really the only thing that made BBM a craze I would think. the idea that you could text to any BB without a data plan.
i suppose ill go against the rgain and say yes i do miss bbm i used it quite often. the treaded messaging though is much like the regular sms for iphone so that is nice and the layout is similar since the sms is setup like a chat service so you might not miss it that much.
dont miss it at all I have mms on my Iphone so it's no big deal what I do miss is sending pictures but switching cell carriers it the beat thing I did in a long time
Recently switched FROM iPhone to an unlocked storm and I am much happier now. It is a little trade off. The iPhone has a crap antenna. Thats the main reason for the switch. I am back to edge only, but I have more stable service. And my bill is the exact same. I do use BBM as I have friends with Berries. The iPhone is a great phone and deserves the credit it is recieving. I just like the Storm and the RIM os much better.
I'm thinking about going back, but the App Stores and ease of use of the iPhone is breathtaking. Some of those App come in handy. Plus the turn-by-turn navigation is awesome.
I've only been without it for less than a week and i'm already having withdrawls. . im sure in time they will subside . .
The thing with BBM is that it is pretty much an IM client. You could instantly message any other BB (whos pin you had) and you could see instantly when it was delivered and read.
I don't miss it at all. I just mainly used it for one person and sent texts to the other people. I use AIM for the one person I used BBM with the most.
