The Flash limitation will finally come to end, sort of...

SkyFire 2.0 To Bring Flash Browsing To iOS On Thursday?

This is great news! I am an iPad owner, and lack of Flash was just an unfortunate limitation.

I just watched the video, Skyfire is great. I just wonder with the HTML 5 converting, how much of a battery strain it will have.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. Thankfully I don't do much video watching
on mobile browsers. But this will be pretty nice if it operates as it should. I've
been most frustrated with the full ESPN site not even playing videos at all
anymore on the iPhone. At once I remember the videos being HTML5. All of a
sudden out of the clear blue sky it's just a still picture embedded.

It shouldn't use any more power than watching YouTube. From what I gather, the transcoding is not done on the phone. It's done on their servers and sent to your phone.

Blame Hulu on that, they banned skyfire from encodng their videos because of their $10/month paid model.

I actually don't like it too much. I like atomic browser with the full screen option. That alone keeps me from liking the browser. Also noticed a little lagging in the scrolling of web pages. Good thing I didn't pay for it already deleted the app

I received an email receipt from iTunes at 7:34am this morning for my purchase of Skyfire yesterday. They charged $3.20 to my credit card (including tax).
I would imagine that this means this problem is only temporary, otherwise there's going to be a lot of people demanding their money back.

How can an OTA app be sold out? All they need is one copy of the software and it can be downloaded forever. The app must have been taken off line.

The Skyfire servers are even still off line. I hope they fix the problem soon.

I just read that Skyfire has been removed from all the app stores worldwide without any reasons. I guess apple is pissed because it is better then Safari...lol

Do you know if Apple is going to refund the money people paid for the app? To me the $3.20 is not a biggie, but it's the principle of the thing. And if you consider how many of the apps were probably sold, it's probably a lot of money
