Which do you have or plan on getting, the 32 gig or 16 gig Iphone 3GS? I never thought I'd ever have or need 32 gigabytes on a phone. Maybe 32 gigs seems excessive right now, and maybe $300 just seems llike a lot to spend at this time because I may just want a different phone next year. I'm wondering if spending $100 more for the extra 16 gig's would be worth it and help to provide better future resale value....

I just bought the 32gb. I figured go big or go home....lol I have a ton of music and a ton of pictures or our daughter and other stuff, also you can never go wrong buying memory as when you resell or when they bring out a new iphone u know just like everything 32gb will be on the low end. Just my opinon.

Either way how can you go wrong. The phone is awesome.

I got the 16GB. I had the 8GB 3G. I would have got a 8GB 3GS if it were available. I have a bunch of music and pictures but I still have over 12 GB left. I'm not into vids like that so I will always have a lot of space left over.

32GB here, I could use another 32GB to be honest. I can't get 1/2 of my music on my 3GS, plus I download a ton of podcasts. I have less than 8GB left and I've had the phone less than 3 weeks.

i never owned a 32gb phone before, so that was enough reasoning for me

plus the photos you shoot are larger sized and shooting video will add up

i dont have the 3GS, got the 3G, but i think around xmas i may go ahead and get the 16 gig. thats the amount of memory my card had in the bold, and that was perfect for music and video. of course, 32 would be nice too!

I'd be fine with 8gb if it ever came to Verizon. Had the first iPhone on AT&T and was horrible (the service, not the phone). I have a 16gb iPod Touch and it is only around 25% used

Well I think since the memory can't be added then it's always better to be safe then sorry. Unless you are made of money you'll have this thing for Two years, so I wanted to make sure I could add stuff to it and not worry.

I have a white 16 gig 3gs. I know I will probably never use all the memory of the phone because I dont put music or movies on the phone (only if im traveling and I wanna watch a movie on a bigger screen).
I do have lots of pics on it but still have plenty of space. I guess it all comes down 2 what u gonna use the phone for. I carry my ipod everywhere thats why I dont put music in my phone but if u truly want 2 have EVERYTHING (all your music, all your pics ETC) on your phone u should get the 32 gigs.

16GB White 3GS. I had the 16GB Black 3G and didn't use nearly half the space. I have about 800 songs and 100 pictures, 20 apps and a few videos. I still have 9GB left. I thought about getting the 32GB one just to be safe, but I'm very happy with the 16GB version.

32gb... just because it was the highest and the re-sell value. I don't the iPod at all, so 16gb would have been more then enough. Heck, even when I had my 16gb 3G, I only had less than 8gb used.

I think I'll be going with the 16 gig. I can't fit even have the music and Video on the 32 gig anyway so I'll be using the extra $100 I save and using that towards an Ipod classic with 120 gigs. That way I can have my entire library handy in my car or on the go and still have the 3GS when I want to carry just one device

^ It won't work on Verizon - Verizon uses a different network technology than the iPhone uses.

When the LTE (Long Term Evolution) network launches from Verizon and others in the next year or so, then you might be able to use the current iPhones it on Verizon's network, I don't know - but not right now, unlocked or no.
