i heard that tha whatsapp can chat between bb and iphone..is that true?
if its not ..is there any application for iphone i can install to chat with my bb friends in bbm????
please let me know i

No, it can't chat through BBM. Your BlackBerry friends will also have to install the WhatsApp application on their BlackBerry. WhatsApp users can chat amongst themselves, not across platforms (i.e. WhatsApp > BBM).

Go to blackberry.com/appworld and download the appworld app. Once intalled, run it and search for whatsapp. This is a US2.99 app but i have to warn you that it is pretty archaich, it is nowhere bbm like and although it gets the job done it is pretty user unfriendly (on the iphone it's so much better).
I have a 9700 and a 3gs and since i switch back and forth almost everyday, my parents got tired to try to guess which device i am on. Whatsapp solves the problem cuz whether i use the berry or the iphone i get the IMs.

I use Yahoo Messenger to chat with my iPhone friends. Apple can run a standard version, and there is a RIM version found here

or a slightly newer one at App World.

The Life in Pocket app also has Yahoo IM and other social networking on it.

For the BlackBerry user, YM can be left in the background, as the RIM download uses push technology for the app.

Only Blackberry users can talk via BBM. Instead of trying to get whatsapp, why not everyone just get on YIM, AIM or Google talk? I think that would be much better than using whatsapp.
