I cant hear the sounds that come from any applications other then Pandora or Ipod. When my phone rings all i get is the vibration. When i go to sound setting and click a ring tone i can hear it but not when calls are coming in. I also don't hear the lock/unlock sounds as well.

I just got the phone about a week ago and I'm not too familiar with it yet. I was also wondering if sounds come through both speakers equally. It seems like most of it is going through my left speaker and I'm not sure if the right one is broken or not. I'm guessing that could be the problem, IDK.

Never mind. I never realized that the silent button was on. Duh.

this is my first post in the community...

I've had my phone for a month, and starting today I can't hear my phone ring, speaker phone, videos or alarm clock.

I restarted it and also turned it off, took out the battery and restarted it AGAIN.

nothing is working...

please help!!

Sorry to tell you, but you can't remove battery off the iPhone 3G, unless you were talking about another one.
