This may be an problem for pre-3GS only.

Can anyone else easily type faster than their phone can respond? And is this an issue for any Blackberry users?

My phone responds to all my touches, even when I press every randomly to see if there is any lag... none.

Guy at work was complaining about this on his new White 32GB 3GS

My BB keeps up with my typing (physical keys)

No typing lag at all. Even on the 3G when I had it. When I touch the screen, the letter appears instantly.

I also turn off the keyboard clicks. That might improve speed.

Never noticed a speed difference with the sound off, but I kno it is less annoying.

I still type faster with my Curve then I do my iPhone and it has a tendency to lag when typing on it.

I use thumbs only, typing in landscape. Sometimes the letters don't preview. They still type, but I feel like the phone gets "stuck" trying to register what I'm doing. Then I end up hitting b or n instead of spacebar and it gives me some horribly misappropriated word that I end up sending anyway because I just don't care. Or it just puts a word in that it "thinks" I want, even though it's not even close to what I was looking for.

This always occurs when I haven't shut my phone off completely after a couple days, or if I'm running Safari even if it's just sitting on googles homepage

I tend to type faster on my iphone3g now. Maybe because I'm just so used to it.
