    1 billion for Apple

This is the amount that Google has just paid its competitor (in some areas, including systems for mobile phones) Apple to continue to be the default search engine. Despite the enmities, the business continues.

Yup, business IS business... You might be surprised to hear that despite all the patent lawsuits, Samsung is still one of Apples largest suppliers if screens, memory CPUs, etc..

Apple is expected to increase their purchases to over 11 BILLION dollars.

If Samsung wanted to, they could shut down production of all ipads and iphones overnight...

Pretty sure there are contracts in place to prevent something like that. Like Apple would own SAMSUNG.

If China wanted to, they could make their armies march on mongolia and annex it as a province.

This has been going on for a while. I believe Google has always been the default search for the iPhone.
