I have the iPhone 3g and have paired 2 different headset to it but I cannot get it to give me a command when I want to make a phone call but it will work when I listen to streaming radio. Am I doing something wrong?

which BT headsets? Do you mean by pushing the button on the BT itself?

One of them that I tried was the Jabra bt830 and the other was a motorola H780. And yes I was meaning by when you push the button on the headset I am not getting no" say a command" then you would normally say a persons name you have in your contact list or say a number that you want dialed.

do those headsets allow voice commands? Not all do so you might want to check that out.

I used the motorola with my curve and it worked with voice command

The 3.0 OS on the iPhone does support voice commands. Have you upgraded to that yet?

If you have, then it would seem that Apple has crippled that Bluetooth function. Not really surprising...
