I know, I read that too but what I also read is that it will only be for the Mac,
no one at this time is making unlocking simple for PC users. Back to square one again I guess until someone developes one for the PC. If I am wrong I am sorry and please do not bash me..

that I dont know for sure, but Geohot has always been a PC guy from what I know. Purplera!n was a PC app as was the Blackra!n jailbreak. The Mac versions actually came after the PC versions.

I know the iphone dev team are the ones who are mac-only.

If you don't have a mac, go into an Apple store and download the software to one of the computers they have in there...

Then Jailbreak/Unlock it right in the store..

What do you think they would do? Haha.. I can picture Steve Jobs walking out of the back room under that Star-Lit Apple Symbol on the back wall and say something like "Unlocking your iPhone 3G S, huh?" Then then resume the worst ***-whoopin of your life from a computer geek.

I'm pretty sure geohot will have a PC version... as mentioned above, the PC version of blackra1n came out before the Mac version.
