Apple Q4 2014: 39.3 million iPhones, 12.3 million iPads, 5.5 million Macs, $42.1 billion in revenue! Net Profit $8.5 billion.

After hours trading is upward, bucking the usual trend.

Don't you think your thread is in the wrong forum? Just curious.

Crazy numbers as always. Those numbers only included just over a weeks worth of iPhone 6 I guess? Looks to be a totally insane next quarter.

The iPad business is still dying. It will be interesting to see if the new iPads turn that around. I don't think they will, personally.

But the iPhone 6 will be huge this quarter. And the Mac sales are really impressive given where the PC industry in general is going.

Yeah iPad sales have slowed and will probably get even slower due to the iPhone 6+. I still have an iPad 3 and my wife has an ipad 2. Both are working great so we don't bother to upgrade. It's not like my phones that I upgrade each year basically. Im on my iPad maybe once a day if I'm lucky. For $500 for an iPad i would rather spend another $400-$500 on a MacBook Air which I might do in the near future.

Ipads just arent like phones. Cant upgrade them every year. still a ton of them sold but its something they really need to consider making them on a 1.5-2 year cycle instead of yearly

That's a seriously interesting notion, and I'm pi55ed it didn't occur to me first.

iPads serve their purpose far longer than anything else running iOS. The Mac numbers are what blow me away though.

agreed, their upgrade cycle is far too short, as are the lack of substantial features added
You agreement doesn't seem to affect their success though. So there is that.
