    Notice, this is for the US market, not the global market. Apple's share of mobile phone sales (all mobile phones, not just smartphones) grew to 17.8% in the quarter ending October. It still trails Samsung, with a 23.6% share, by a large margin. Third place is LG, with 17.6%.

    Platform market share is still dominated by Android with 53.6% of smartphone subscribers. iPhone went up a tick with 34.3%.
