I have a 8g Iphone 3G and twice now it has randomly erased all of my songs, videos, and all other media content.....Not during a sync or anything. Just got it out of my pocket and it was gone. Anyone else have this happen?

I would do a complete restore with iTunes (assuming some corrupt files somewhere). If it happened again, I'd go get a new one.

Never had that happen... go into an Apple store and exchange it. Or upgrade to the 3GS

After putting some thought into it.....can an application update cause you to loose media? Pirated Music? whats that I have 3.0. I am eligible for an upgrade but explaining the expense (for the 3GS) to my husband might be a bit tough.

Don't think an Application update would make you lose everything. Ever download music for free illegally? Well that's pirated.

When you restore try setting up as a new phone rather than from a back-up. There could be a corrupted file in the back-up. Once you set up as a new phone just resync music, apps, contacts, etc. Hope this helps
