Hubby, the new productivity tool from CellNinja, is now available in BlackBerry World. ‎

Hubby brings sticky notifications to Hub, giving you access to Weather, Stocks and Battery infos at any given time, right from the app you use the most : BlackBerry Hub.‎

The app is easy to setup and will run in the background, so you don't have to keep the app opened to make your Hub smarter than before. Just setup once and enjoy forever.*

Hubby is the first app ever to create Hub notifications that are sticky to the top of the Hub, while this may seems like magic at first, the concept is quite simple : Notifications are posted 24 hours in the future, so they will appear under tomorrow's date, keeping them always on top.

Also, Hubby notifications are already marked as read to make sure that you can hide them quickly by pinching in (filter by unread).

Hubby is priced at 0.99$US and is available for all BlackBerry 10 devices running 10.2.1 and up. CellNinja Bundle users can already get Hubby for free using the new CellNinja Bundle update that came out yesterday.‎

Looks interesting. And I always found the Hub is the right place.

What I ever missed is a better display of calender events in the Hub. I want a longer time span to be seen, not only today and tomorrow, that's useless if it's friday and you want to inform about next week. Indeed I want to have a number of the next upcoming events in the Hub, two or more (configurable), regardless of when they are in future. This (!) would be a really productive feature.

You got my interest, but although $ 0.99 isn't a lot of money, I prefer to try an app before buying it.

Very nice app Rodger! I like your apps - thank you for your work! I just bought your software-bundle (I paid twice for ist because there was a mistake in the Blackberry world).

    Just one question to hubby:

If I go into the weather details of the app (used forecast.io) there is no way back in the hub, except I use the hub-button in the app-menue. Is there another way?

Swipe right on the screen to go back to Hub. I removed the "navigation bar" in the bottom of the screen to enjoy weather card full screen, so there is no back button.

It's already available in French and English, if you want to translate in another language, you can reach me from the app and I'll get you started. This app has little text, so translating all the strings might take about 5 to 10 minutes and can be done on mobile.

Awesome app! Bought it even though I got it free on the bundle to support the dev. I did notice that it messes up the message previews on the lock screen if you have it enabled, shows the hubby alert instead.

Unfortunately not, I have not yet found a good cheap sports API that covers a lot of sports, ESPN is probably the best one but is damn expensive, there's a cheaper one I found that is charged by the number of API calls, someone said it would be around 30$ for a complete season for college football :
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...r-sports-stats

Multiply that by the number of sports I need to support to make 95% of Hubby users happy and that will quickly become too expensive to consider using it. Unfortunately, BlackBerry 10 sales are really low, and I already have two paid API services I'm using in Hubby : Forecast.io and a fallback service for stocks when Yahoo doesn't provide a good result.

I can find some free or cheap API when I look for one sport at a time, but that becomes unmanageable at some point as Hubby would rely on too many outside services, if one of those services goes offline, I need to rewrite the code for that part and hope I don't break any other part of the app while updating it.
