Reading this thread reminded me of an issue that I had with my first Treo -- could not hear the person on the other end of a call when in moderate- to very-loud environments. I ended up having to purchase a 3rd party add-on -- software that, once installed, dramatically improved the sound quality.
Just think that, perhaps, the N1 can be saved with either an OS patch or a 3rd party update.
Doesn't the N1 need a patch, anyway, due to the screwed-up touch screen (something about touchpoints getting mixed up as the finger moves across the screen)?
