So my update came through and I installed it but now it looks as though my memory card is empty? Any ideas as to why the update would wipe the memory card? Or am I missing something?

I'm not sure why it would wipe but if it did there are SD card recovery programs you could try to get the pictures back.

Have you tried using a card reader and viewing the pictures on your computer? Perhaps it's just a bug in your software not viewing the pictures.

Yeah I put it into my laptop and it's blank.... disappointing.

How did you do the update OTA or download to your computer? I did the OTA and no issues at all.
