Went to look at the Droid-X(for the 4th time) and and was surprised with a $50 back to school discount.
Got the Droid X for $49.00(after rebate and NE2 discount and back to school discount). Supposedly this is not an online discount.
Maybe she felt sorry for me and conjured up a 'special' to get me to order it because I was undecided about what to do for sure.

I ordered it. I didn't get it in hand, no.

Official day is the 18th but was told they are coming in faster than that( sure ). Was told it could be about a week...we will see. I'm not holding my breath. At this point I really don't care. Needed a new phone bad and will wait if I have to.

There's a back to school sale going on at VZW corp. stores thru Sunday. It's $50 off smart phones and $30 of multi-media phones.

Does the NE2 discount apply after the 2 year plan or is it the same. The phone costs $299 with a 2 year plan and a $100 rebate off of that price. That brings the price down to $199. How did you get it down to $49?

I hope this BTS sale is true, if so, I will quickly go out and purchase my 9650 I've been waiting for.

Yeah I couldn't find this deal either. Called a store and they said they never heard of such a thing. Called customer service and they haven't heard of such a thing...

The salesperson was probably trying to sell the OP the phone and made up the promotion.

Its definitely real. It ends today though. I went back yesterday and got 50 off a smartphone order I had placed a week ago due to verizons 30 day policy on price changes.

I just used code a coupon and got $20 off over the web. Paid $179 no rebate needed.
Order processed, now the waiting begins.

Hopefully the waits not as long as posted on the website says. I would expect to at least wait a week however. I got mine before the line was as long as it is now good luck ! It blows anything RIM has got out of the water with web browsing and pushed email .
