Something out of our fab shop. Should get permission to post photo. Probably ok.

Till then just think of a tpu case with very thin power bank under its back. Right angle C connector. Planning to keep spares charging at frequented locales. Adds at least 4hrs. Which now exceeds Pocket's endurance. Better matches my 24hr lifestyle. Loll. Can now sleep with Slim in hand on vibrate during protracted trouble shooting sessions Hoping to not disturb wife. She still hears vibe and wakes me anyway. She says she appreciates the thought tho. Loll.

Added ledge combines with added thick for added grasp. Loving the wrist lanyard. Needs some subtle improvement tho. Already submitted critique for version 2. Lol.
Very cool, thanks for the info! I notice there isn't much selection of cases for both the Slim and Pocket (unless I am not looking in the right places). The case that comes with the Slim is ok, but looks too thin.

I like that the Slim apparently comes with the screen protector pre-installed. Does the TP also have screen protector installed out of the box?

Yes, all but one TP ordered about a year ago, had screen protectors installed. Obviously that one an oversight. That one has held up well. IDK that they're really needed. I don't view the thin cases as "protection". Dropped both TP and Slim TOO frequently. No discernible damage. Even if damaged, the things are cheap enough to simply replace. IMO. They're permitted no access to "sensitive" data so... I use the thin TPU cases for grasp enhancement. REALLY love the wrist lanyard loop on TP's tpu case. Too bad Slim's case omitted that provision. Fab shop power case includes wrist lanyard loop.

My use case values true mobility. Mobility means motion. I despise halting all activity to stop and type. Too much backlog waiting for what's remaining of this lifetime for such silliness. MUCH productivity accumulates throughout a typical day thru typing while "...In Motion". lol

A dear colleague recently inquired how i managed to find time to do the things ive gotten done. ? At least SOME part of the "secret" is refusal to waste time "herding cats" to communicate on "hand" sets that simply don't prioritize typing proficiency... lol Just color me weirdly wired... lol

Thans Steve. I always enjoy reading your insightful and informative posts!

I have to say, I am really intrigued by this little Titan Pocket. I didn't pay much attention to it as I have been largely happy with my Key2. It's only now that I am recently considering getting a newer phone that that it caught my attention. At first I was pondering the Titan Slim, and then the Pocket caught my interest because it really reminds me of the Blackberry Bold. For this one hand form factor, to me there will never be another design that compares with the awesome Bold 9900 and also the newer BlackBerry Classic. But TP still really looks cool especially that it can run Android 11, which in and of itself is a major point if you are dealing with company IT policies restricting older Android versions.

Anyway I still haven't decided. If my Key2 was busted I would probably be more inclined to get the Slim (assuming I wanted to stay with a physical keyboard). This little "Bold looking" impersonator is definitely inducing some nostalgia, and makes me curious to experience it on a modern Android platform.

    On another note:
Imagine when BlackBerry released the Classic, they instead designed it to run Android. Incorporated the same tool belt, with the unique features of the Key2, like the touch sensitive keyboard and fingerprint space bar, but still maintained the iconic trackpad doubling as the Android home key. That would have been pretty awesome!

TP ended up with a Q10 sized screen on a Classic sized keyboard and chassis. Plenty of space for a TrackPad. Something ALL devices need, imo. For editing, at least. Andy 11 proves MUCH friendlier to Bluetooth mouse than 8.1 ever did. A TrackPad could mimic mouse, imo.

I keep a Logitech M557 handy for editing duties on TP or TS.

TP ends up in a hand while active. Its thoughtful sculpting proves better grasp than similar sized Classic ever was. Imo. MUCH better grasp with TPU case also. Also like Classic, TP is just a key column too wide. My thumb struggles to reach the far column. Superb grasp permits chassis tilt easing far column reach but... Slows things down measurably. Compared with slimmer Slim which thumb commands full kb access. I get about 10% faster single thumbing Slim than on TP. Fwiw. Slim's just too tall for first to fourth finger grasp. Can't challenge TP for typing while "... In Motion". Imo.

Bold 9900 represents a gold standard for typing. Measured in wpm or words per day. AND for TrackPad editing proficiency! Never another Bold! TP and TS combination as dual carry do a credible job of challenging Bold overall? Sorta??

Good points. Yeah the Bold really was the gold standard for sure. I remember there was an old thread with a ton of posts regarding the Bold, and you had made many great inputs on it. I believe that was the thread "9900:Resurgence of Popularity" started by anon in 2016, in the BlackBerry Bold Series forum. A legendary thread with close to 9k posts!

What do you and others think about the performance between the CPU of the TP/Slim vs the Key2 (MediaTek Helio P70 vs Snapdragon 660). I was reviewing one article and they appear close to neck and neck, but do you observe more responsiveness with the MediaTek Helio P70?

The article I refer to is https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compar...atek-helio-p70

I remember Unihertz being very quite about what updates the Pocket would get....

I'm shocked. This rates right up there when twinkies and ding dongs were briefly discontinued.
