    Never again will I buy a phone that doesn't run stock android.

    Live wallpapers no longer slowel down my phone.

    Battery life is even better (and it was good on stock)

    Everything loads faster.

    No more of the bugs I had with stock 2.2.

    If you have an X you need to root and get this or any other vanilla android ROM now.

    Rubix 1.8.6. I'm not sure if it's on the Incredible but definitely try out a good, clean stock rom.

    The developer of rubix cleaned out the blur and removed all the other bloatware that Motorola and Verizon put on the X. The phone has absolutely no lag now and runs even faster.

    ah. The bloatware I noticed right away during phonedog's youtube on the droid pro. I'm looking back as grateful for that stuff NOT having graced my phone's presence. I did have to take out visual voicemail haha.

    I haven't tried rubix yet. I've been running fission for over a month now. Super speedy and blurless as well. Definitely worth trying out.

    Been reading some people have been getting boot loops after installing the leak, and they're not able to recover from it with the system only .sbf file.

    I think I'll stay with Rubix 1.8.6 for now, it's running great for me.

    With 8 GB of memory for apps, do you really need to do that? Putting apps on the sd card doesn't free any more memory for the system.

    Agreed. Such a move is only feasible for those in a situation like mine, where I am limited in app memory.

    Move to 1.8.9. Still on official release but completely Vanilla. ROM is FAST. I had 1.8.6 and this one is a least 2-5x faster and smoother.

    Bootloops are easily cured by going into stock recovery and formating data...I had to......Linpack is around 14.5 mflops....

    Plenty of internal memory agreed I just thought it was a nice touch....

    Typo on my part, I went from RubiX 1.6 to 1.8.9 yesterday. Very happy with the results.

    Enjoy it. IMO Drod (creator of rubiX) is putting out the best ROMs for the DX. I'm glad I could help you with the process. It's a tricky one. If you need help with anything else let me know.
