Just installed my update to Handcent SMS (which showed up this morning) and I am now able to send ringtones via MMS - which I wasn't able to do previously.

Handcent is my favorite app, hands down! (pun intended)

Many are still having issues sending sounds specially mp3. Double check that people are actually receiving them. Anything larger that 175 k or has issues with it. Maybe there's a new update.

All that I sent went through fine. I sent about a dozen of them. All were 30 second ringtones. Don't know what file size is.

    Ok...downloaded ringdroid app and...

Was able to cut and successfully send a 30 second mp3. File was 240 kb.

Was able to cut and successfully send a 15 second m4a. File was 154 kb.

Weird thing is that I could only send using 3g. when I tried using wifi all I got was the dreaded spinning wheel after hitting send.

If it makes a difference, I sent them from my droid to my roommates storm.

Surprised wi-fi didn't work. I wonder if you could use a File Explorer with remote access to log on to your buddy's SD card on his Storm and just transfer the ringstones that way.

Wow...Handcent is virtually a cool app...now I'm starting to feel more better about giving up my iPhone for the Android.
