I use Google Talk to talk to those I know who have Android. It's not BBM, but it works well.
I use a service from Verizon called "unlimited text" you should check it out; ) Jk. Google voice is what I use: )
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
LOL. I don't see how people think that BBM is the only way to communicate to people. For those of us not in a blackberry cocoon, we use stuff like AIM, Gtalk, YIM, MSN messenger. For personal use, these are just as good as BBM especially if you get a good program like Beejive that has all the clients and good functionality. And get this, you can even chat with facebook friends!! WOW.
try IM+lite..
its free, does all those and skype chat too, and saves battery compared to beejive.
AIM, Google Talk, Yahoo IM, etc. Just to name a few.
I am not using a Droid yet but am turning all of my BB friends onto Google talk it's just like BBM maybe not as feature rich but will get there eventually.. Check it out..
Or, he could find a new girlfriend that has an Android device. ;)
Not nice at all...but still funny.:D
lol. i'm just glad SOMEONE here has a sense of humor. :D
Haha never!
Well today i got my htc desire and we messaged with google talk and it went pretty good :D
Congrats on the new phone & IM client. GTalk works great; I'm sure your Desire does too.
I used bb a long time, and I am now more accustomed to the android system, besides, I have all my people on Gtalk now. I think both platforms do an excellent job, and it just boils down to a personal preference. To say one is WAY better than the other wouldn't be taking in to account the full spectrum of either phone.
I'm on a similar boat. Just got my Desire. Been using GTalk, and the one thing I wish it had was the ability to send photos ;)
