I'm getting an Eris for xmas and currently have a Curve. Just curious as to what the indicator is like on the Eris, does it offer a blinking red light like all Blackberries or something similar? I searched and found you can do it with an application, but can it be done without? Thx

It has an LED message indicator, yes. I believe it's green.

Also the white trackball pulses... Sexy as ****. Beats the bb indicator by a long long long shot.

That's pretty cool the trackball pulses, the green indicator is going to annoy me to no end. I hate it on the berry, going to hate it on the Eris.

The green indicator is for email, not coverage.

there apps the can change the color. i use handcent to make sms red led and missed call for a blue led for notifications. better then the bb in my opinion.

I'm aware, it's just the green annoys me no matter what its for, weird I know, just a little pet peeve. Anyway, it's not just for e-mail, I'd imagine it blinks for missed calls, texts, etc... right?
