I have been on 600mhz for a while and no probs at all I have it 600 max 250 min. Its no problem since I set it for on demand only.
Also I saw this over at alldroid bout 15 min before you posted here, I can't help but to always check for updates. Messing with my phone is just too much fun.

I know you where asking on the AllDroid about how to flash this. If you check on the main page of the thread you will see nandroid backups of the boot images which makes easier to flash.
Just flashed the 900mhz one. A lot faster now. No issues so far and even the milestone MT browser seems to type at perfect speeds, as opposed to super slow text entry before.
I will go for 800mhz just so I would have some boosted speed but still stable battery.
Can't wait to get home, my break will be over in exactly 3 min :/
I'm at 900 MHz. Phone is still working great. Battery drains a bit faster but will fix that with extended battery or extra OEM battery.
Gonna go and install sholes ROM 1.2 and see how this works with that. God, this Droid is so much fun to mess around with it. It is a geeks dream come true!

Seriously, if you're going to post an article at least read past the title. The only reason it was 64 percent faster was because it had something called jit enabled. I have no idea what it is but I'm assuming its some sort of speed booster included in the rom that allocates memory in a certain way.
