Asus ZenFone 2 With 4GB RAM, ZenFone Zoom With Optical Zoom Launched at CES | NDTV Gadgets
One of the latest high points of the CES 2015 Conference currently taking place (between 6-9 Jan) in Las Vegas, Nevada, is the ZenFone 2 announced by Asus? Chief Executive ? Jonney Shih. The Asus ZenFone 2 becomes the first smartphone to feature 4GB of RAM for an outstanding performance, multitasking, gaming, HD video handling and 3D support.
The Asus ZenFone 2 built on 64-bit architecture, featuring an Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at 2.33GHz. It sports a 5.5 inch IPS display at 1080x1920 resolution and 403ppi (pixel density). The latest ZoneFone 2 smart innovation has a body dimension of 152.5x77.2x10.9mm with an appealing body design which culminates in rounded edges and brushed metal finish.
Other specifications of the device include: LTE functionality, dual SIM support, dual cameras with 13MP rear with LED flash and 5MP front facing and an internal storage of 128GB. The Asus ZenFone 2 is supported by a 3000mAh Lithium-Polymer battery capacity for extended use on single charge.
Amazingly, the ZenFone 2 is expected a price estimate of under $300 (N50,000) for the 4GB variant and $199 (N36,000) for the 2GB (Lite) version. The latest Asus device will be available in 4 colour options ? Red, Grey, Black and Gold.
Asus also jointly announced the ZenFone Zoom which is a more camera-centred of the series, offering up to 3x optical zoom lens with special OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). It has similar features as the Asus ZenFone 2 and is expected to be the slimmest ever Zoom smartphone device with thickness of 11.9mm.
