I've followed your phone adventures pretty closely. At least up until a few months ago Haha, but the Incredible HD definitely looks like my next phone. I've used my friend's Incredible a few times and it's definitely a pretty cool device. I can only imagine that this one would be even more ....... incredible.... (I'm ashamed of that word usage )

If this supposed Incredile HD is the direct successor to the Droid Incredible where does the about to be released HTC merge/lexikon fit into the lineup?

I'm guessing it's HTC vs. Motorola, so Droid X vs. Incredible HD and Droid 2 vs. HTC Merge since they have keyboards.

But then again by the time the HTC Merge and Incredible HD hit the market and settle in I'm sure Motorola will be ready or very close to the successor of the Droid X and maybe even the Droid 2.

Either way I'm pretty sure that 2011 will be the year of the 1.2-1.5 GHz processor Android devices. Maybe, just maybe one of the companies pulls an ace out of its sleeve and releases a 2 GHz monster holiday season 2011. Doesn't really matter as most of the devices currently on the market have more than enough horsepower to run whatever app or game there is. And I'm talking right out of the box, no fancy rooting or anything like that. Lots of time all the very new cutting edge devices really have wasted horsepower. The original Moto Droid, yes in my opinion is on the cusp of being obsolete. The Droid Incredible has another good year or even more before you see it sweating trying to run apps and whatever else. The only thing these very new devices offer is more megapixels or something really minor like that. Most of the current Android devices have a lot of juice left in them before needing to be retired.

As great as the phone looks I'd wait until January when LTE phones are likely to be announced.
